ALTi Minutes March 20, 2025 11:00 AM. Virtual via Apple Messages<\/p>\n

Meeting called to order 11:00 via Apple messenger<\/p>\n

John (chair): Since we’re probably not gonna use them and they are 14 years old are there any issues if we give the large screen and multi function printer \ufe0f to the school?<\/p>\n

Jolene: Nope<\/p>\n

Paula: No<\/p>\n

John 3rd: That sounds like a good idea.<\/p>\n

Notes: Subsequently, John (chair) contacted Chase Inquest who is both a volunteer to help at Adult Life Training, Inc. (ALTi) and is also working with Abundant Life Classical Academy (ALCA), which meets on the same campus, and also talked with Jonathon Bellaires who is principal at ALCA.<\/p>\n

Jonathon understands his organization’s need to have their own 501(c)(3) or equivalent tax exempt status to be able to take advantage of the many philanthropies who would like to provide both cash donations and in-kind donations. He is already pursuing this measure. Until then ALCA will work with ALTi to have a shared computer lab. Once ALCA has their own software licenses ALTi will donate the computers outright so ALCA may move forward independently. ALTi will also have available Financial Literacy curriculum through a generous grant from 3Rivers Credit Union Foundation and can provide other life and job skills related training as needed.<\/p>\n

Chase will coordinate the physical transfer of our 55-inch LED\/LCD screen, the computers and accessories, UPSes, the multi-function Brother laser printer and accessories, and the mobile rack containing a fairly new computer, a Crown (audio) amplifier, a mixer board, screen, UPS, and some other miscellaneous accessories. He understands our contract with Microsoft related to the Microsoft in-kind donation of the Windows and Microsoft 365 licenses and will manage it for us so we are honoring our contract. Chase is not certain Jonathon will need the mobile rack so he will ask and inform John of the result.<\/p>\n

John (chair) has a USB stick prepared for properly installing Windows 11 Pro on the computers which either he or Chase will use to complete the job. These computers have 6-core AMD processors running at 3.5GHz, and 8GB of RAM, so they perform as well as any commodity computer for sale today, however they do not contain Trusted Platform Module (TPM) hardware and so (per Microsoft instructions) John prepared a USB stick with Rufus to properly install Windows 11 Pro without needing the TPM capability. Either John or Chase will go to Batteries Plus and buy the needed batteries for the UPSes before operating the computers, as power glitches in the building have damaged computers in the past and the UPSes are effective in protecting. John needs to wipe and reinstall OS on the rack computer before it is taken to be certain no licensed intellectual property, such as Ramsey videos, remains on that system.<\/p>\n

Cashflow ($5,335 in, $5,332 out), $in-Kind $162K in, cash $278 in, grants $5k in, total $174K
\nWe have about $3 more at end of 2023 than end of 2022 and basically can not spend what is left. Just over $2,500 remains and that is the minimum balance to prevent our financial institution from charging us $60\/year to deposit with them.<\/p>\n

Virtual Lunchtime FPU classes were very popular.

Coaching<\/b> \u2013 new web site, google ads, issues with agreement, staff intervention in progress, one FCMT training license left unused and will remain good until used, first FCMT license that was used by John Nash Jr will remain valid through year 2024<\/p>\n
