The sessions will include a presentation on the development and the contents of the proposed plan, as well as time for questions and comments. The DRAFT 2024-2028 plan is currently available at www.nircc.com for public review.<\/p>\n NIRCC through its Transit Planning Committee developed the Coordinated Public Transit \u2013 Human Services Transportation Plan for Allen County in 2007 and completed previous updates in 2012 and 2017 as a result of Federal Transit Administration (FTA) requirements. FTA requires local areas to develop and maintain a coordinated public transit-human services transportation plan for all FTA human service transportation programs that provide funding for transportation services. The FTA program primarily addressed by this plan is the Section 5310 Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Program. This program is currently utilized by providers within Allen County. An update of the Coordinated Public Transit \u2013 Human Services Transportation Plan for Allen County was completed in 2024.<\/p>\n The plan identifies the available transportation services, the transportation needs of the targeted populations (individuals with disabilities, older adults, and persons with limited incomes), and the gaps in transportation services. It also develops and prioritizes strategies to address the gaps.
