In accordance with public notice requirements established at 42 CFR 447.205, the Indiana Family and Social Service Administration (FSSA) Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning (OMPP) and the Division of Aging (DA) intend to submit a proposed renewal to the Aged and Disabled Waiver (A&D) waiver and an updated version of the A&D waiver-specific Statewide.
The A&D waiver provides Medicaid home and community-based services to participants in a range of community settings as an alternative to care in a nursing facility for adults and persons of all ages with a disability.
The upcoming renewal includes information regarding a 50% provider reimbursement rate increase for monthly case management services effective July 1, 2018. The case management service will be renamed “care management” and the service definition will be updated to read: “Care Management is a process of assessment, discovery, planning, facilitation, advocacy, collaboration, and monitoring of the holistic needs of each individual, regardless of funding sources.”
Fiscal Impact (in millions):
Federal Budget Impact: FFY 2018 $1.12 FFY 2019 $6.89
