It is nice to hear from time to time when someone has benefited from our open source work. On his blog on April 5, 2012 at http://www.wecansolve.org/wordpress/?p=9 Phocking writes:
While I imagine this takes up a good amount of his time, and that he is substantially impacting lives within his community, John Nash also is a man who intends to change the world – by contributing a framework that is easy-to-follow, he has done more than anyone else I have encountered in researching this subject. I love how he has so much faith in the idea that he shares it with the expectation it is an instruction manual, guide, and framework for something similar. Teaching basic/essential computer and job skills where John Nash’s efforts already give me everything I require for an initial curriculum and a template that contains all of the direct and to the point stuff that everyone wants me to put out.
I am deeply touched that another group can benefit from what we have shared, and I hope many more are to come. All our materials are “At your own risk” but they are also released totally free, without any charge, under Creative Commons licensing. The only gottcha is you must honor the terms of the Creative Commons license — you cannot close source it when you got it for free. Now you can write something else like it though….
My Pastor, David Keller, has said “None of us has all the answers, but together we can achieve more than any of us can alone”. You may wish to look in on phocking from time to time and see what else he has to say.
