A New year beckons! 2017 is coming and we are looking to increase the amount and diversity of our resource utilization. Currently we have 60% utilization weekday evenings (we are booked Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday) for various training and community building activities. We would like to add an Artemis gaming group Friday evening or maybe Tuesday evening.
Our current use is nicely diverse with Financial LIteracy training, the Spoken Hands (deaf) group, and men’s basketball benefiting from our facilities, but we have been missing LAN gaming and we are set up well for this activity. We have wireless for laptops, lots of available gigabit ports on our switch in the room for wired LAN, the Bridge Room with six (6) seats and two overhead 42″ screens tied to our server in the Community Room which has another computer and the server with two more 55″ screens. We also have coffee, tea, sink, microwave oven, and generous tables and chairs to accommodate snacks, pizza, and igloos full of soda. No alcohol or tobacco, please.
We are currently working to raise $80 to buy two Bridge Licenses to cover all the computers in the room. This could allow two groups to compete, including any laptops, and those not having their own copy of the game could install one of ours for the evening.
