In the past we have dedicated one day of our training week to BUSINESS literacy. Our participants read professional business level writing in the Wall Street Journal, The Economist, Fortune Magazine, and other top level executive publications.
Reading high quality articles quickly upgrades the speech and conversation of these participants, and helps them succeed in job interviews for unsubsidized employment. Every adult should read these publications – the articles are interesting, diverse, timely, well written and for adults: the writing is not restricted to language and structure suitable for a 4th grade reader as it is in most local newspapers and ‘popular’ periodicals.
