FPU performance since 2016

Posted on February 19, 2020February 24, 2020 by John Nash
Living paycheck to paycheck today is normal, and that is NOT “OK”!

We started teaching FREE Financial Peace University classes in year 2016. Since then 93 people have been registered in our classes and attended for 529 (persons in sessions) non-duplicated sessions.

As a public charity our purpose is to relieve the burden of government in helping the public, which is why the government allows us to be exempt from income taxes. We have served in the area of employment for our communities’ most underserved populations for the last 17 years, and added FPU in 2016.

Since late in 2016 we have seen an undeniable improvement in employment for the populations that we serve. This improvement has resulted in more than 96% of working age citizens actually being employed – there is a huge backlog of available jobs with no employees to take them. Even those seemingly less “job ready” have been hired.

These free public workshops have been underwritten in part by a generous grant from the 3Rivers Federal Credit Union Foundation. 3Rivers is Here for you: here for good. If you’re ready to start a lifelong banking relationship with a local organization you can trust, then 3Rivers is for you. https://www.3riversfcu.org/.

This means two really good things for Adult Life Training, and for our communities. First, employment is at an all time high for everyone, including those previously not employed. Second, there is a huge number of people, who  for the first time in their lives have real income instead of mere ‘social support’, and these people need to learn how to manage their new income so that they can retire happy.

Something over 80% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck. The bankster marketing machine, like the tobacco industry of years gone by, waddles unencumbered by effective consumer protections and markets their debt even to elementary school children! Oh yes, Barbie has a credit card and she is in debt. Something on the order of half of all marriages end in divorce, but 90% of the reasons given for those divorces involve money problems! The banking industry has brainwashed almost all Americans into thinking that “prosperity” is indicated by uncontrolled spending and a lifetime of being enslaved as a debtor to student loans, credit cards, auto loans, mortgages, and other bankster fabrications to entrap the uninformed.

All these people who now have better jobs, some for the first time in their lives, are fresh meat for the insidious bankster marketing machine. But it doesn’t have to be that way. The bad guys don’t have to win. We The People can stand up and fight to save our communities. We still have enough of our rights left that we can help our fellow citizens get and stay debt free. And that is where FPU classes come in.

The more families we have teaching FPU to their own friends and families, the more people will be informed and avoid or escape the bankster marketing machine. Our goal for year 2020 is to add 12 new coordinator families and help 200 more people get and stay debt free.

If you would like to help and have not yet completed Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University, then please do that first. You can register for our class starting March 9 7:00PM at http://fpu.com/1113078.

If you have successfully completed FPU class, and need help staying Gazelle Intense come and talk to John at the office, Tuesday-Friday, 12:00-4:00. Adult Life Training, Inc. is located inside the ALC campus at 3301 E Coliseum Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46805. If you live in our area and want to stop in you can call ahead to the ALC switchboard be sure John is there 260.432.0014 x128.

If you are now living the dream, or at least working toward it (you don’t need to be finished, just following the Baby Steps yourself: Emergency Fund, Budgeting, Debt Snowball) and you are willing to help teach classes, come talk with John and let’s talk about adding your family as a Coordinator. IF you really can’t help teach this time, but would still like to help, our PayPal and several other donation facilitators are at top left of our web site pages – feel free to help as you can. PayPal doesn’t have a minimum donation.

Stay safe & free. May God Bless!
