As several of you suggested, we did apply for the YNAB organization to provide an alternative budgeting tool for those of you who are (or have) taken our Ramsey FPU classes.
FPU comes with EveryDollar which is part of your free one year of Ramsey FPU Membership when you sign up for FPU class WITH US AT Adult Life Training, Inc. (because we purchased a site license that enables us to do so).
We expected to run a YNAB class separately, as we cannot mix the Ramsey material with anything else (or we couldn’t call it FPU).
Apparently I didn’t fill in the application form correctly. They just said :
Thanks so much for reaching out! Right now, YNAB for Good is only able to support nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations in the United States. These organizations all help marginalized or underrepresented communities gain more control over their finances, and have an existing program in place that supplemental YNAB subscriptions would be beneficial to their clients.
It doesn’t seem that, at this time, you meet those criteria. If we’ve misunderstood your application or you have additional questions please reach out! We’d love to chat more!
We still think you may benefit from using YNAB: it was recommended that we add that curriculum by two of my directors and four of my adult offspring. It is only $7 a month and there are videos you can independently view to learn how to use it.
If things change we’ll schedule some YNAB classes and those attending will get a free pass to YNAB.
In the mean time, if you have not yet completed Ramsey FPU, our next class starts August 24. Do not use the “class link” on the page as it will sign you up to “free trial” for two weeks then demand $130!
