December is Coming

Posted on November 27, 2010November 29, 2010 by John Nash

He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again. Proverbs 19:17 (KJV)

December is coming, and with it the season in which most charities receive the majority of donations for the year. If you are thinking of donating to a charity, you can verify their legal tax exempt status from the government web site irs.gov. You can verify how much money they received each year and how they spent it by downloading their form 990’s from irs.gov. You may also find more information on them posted on the charity site guidestar.org.

We also publish this information (and more) here in our 501(c)(3) Info, at top center of your computer screen, and we have just posted summary financials for FY2010 as of last week (in the menu at top, click Money).

If you are thinking of donating to a worthy cause this year, please consider the many, many unemployed workers in this area and consider a generous donation to Adult Life Training, Inc. to help us help these citizens learn computer job skills so that they can get employed again.
